Local missions is at the heart of Lakeside's calling and identity. We partner with a number of ministries and agencies which serve the Rocky Mount community, through our budget, with the offering of our time and talents, or with the use of our facilities.

Local Missions Partnerships

  • United Community Ministries provides a nurturing and supportive environment for homeless and nearly homeless families and individuals as they move toward wholeness.


  • Meals on Wheels of Rocky Mount is committed to serving the homebound senior citizens of Rocky Mount a hot nutritious meal and providing a caring friendly visit with each meal.   

  • My Sister's House

    My Sister's House supports victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking through advocacy, shelter, community outreach, and education. 

  • Crisis Ministry (POF-FIGS)

    People of Faith Filling in the Gaps is a partnership of Rocky Mount which helps our local neighbors with emergency funds to assist with rent or utilities.


  • The Christian Fellowship Home has been providing basic needs to men who are recovering alcoholics or addicts for decades. Our local non-profit halfway house program has been serving the Rocky Mount, NC area since 1975. 


  • Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit housing organization working locally and in nearly 1,400 communities across the United States and in approximately 70 countries around the world. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat works toward this vision by building and improving homes in partnership with individuals and families in need of a decent and affordable place to live. 



  • CareNet Counseling improves the health of the mind, body, spirit and community through spiritually-integrated counseling, psychotherapy, research and education. We are here to help our clients restore and maintain mental wellness. 



  • Founded by our Rocky Mount neighbors, Mickey and Jackie Bailey, The Agape Village Foundation is a Christian nonprofit organization with a mission to provide loving care in a Christ-centered environment for orphaned children in Zambia, enabling them to thrive and to eventually become self-supporting adults. 

  • Tar Roanoke Prison Chaplaincy

    Tar Roanoke Chaplaincy exists to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the incarcerated in Eastern North Carolina. We go weekly into the jails of Nash, Edgecombe, Wilson, Franklin, Halifax, and Warren counties. We also minister frequently at Coastal Plain Mental Health Hospital, Edgecombe Youth Development Center, and Nash Correctional Institution.
