  • Growing together study groups

Bible study and discussion groups for adults meet on Sunday mornings beginning at 9:45 a.m. in the Education Building. Contact the church office for information about the current learning opportunities.

  • Adult Small Group studies

Adult small groups meet seasonally for book and Bible studies. Watch the Current Events page for information about our most current study groups.

  • Meditation group

The Meditation Group meets every other Thursday at noon in the Parlor of the Education Building.

The Psalmist says: "Be still and know that I am God." One way to experience this oneness is through the practice of meditation or centered prayer. When we pray sincerely, we are open to being changed by the very act of prayer itself. Thus the essence of meditation is learning to stand back from ourselves and allow God to come to the forefront of our life.

  • Vacation Bible School

Lakeside's children and volunteers join with those from Church of the Good Shepherd, First Presbyterian, St. Andrew's Episcopal, and West Haven Presbyterian each June for a Community VBS.  Lakeside hosts this week of Bible stories, music, games, crafts, and friendship building every third year. Registration information is posted on the home page in the early spring.

It is open before and after Sunday School each Sunday morning and can be utilized during the week by contacting the church office.  The Godwin Library is dedicated in memory of Reverend Clarence Godwin, who served as Lakeside's first pastor from 1955-65.
