WHERE ARE OUR GIFTS DIRECTED?

As a congregation, we take seriously our stewardship of the resources we are given for the ministry to which God has called us. We make every effort to use both financial and human gifts in wise and effective ways. Just as we ask each member to make a commitment to the ministry of this congregation, we also commit ourselves as a congregation to generously support our collective ministry. Following is a synopsis by program of our Missions and Ministry Budget.

Missions Ministries - $72,750

Denominational Missions: Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (National), Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of NC, Alliance of Baptists, North Carolina WMU, North Carolina Baptist Men

Theological Education: Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, Duke Divinity School (Baptist House), Wake Forest University Divinity School, and Campbell University Divinity School, CBF scholarships to out-of-state divinity schools.

Higher Education: Campbell University, Chowan University, Meredith College, Wake Forest University

Social Ministries: Baptist Children’s Homes, Baptist Children’s Home for the Developmentally Disabled, Baptist Retirement Homes, and Pastoral Care at Baptist Hospital.

Identity Partners: Baptist World Alliance, Baptist Joint Committee for Public Affairs, N.C. Baptist Women in Ministry, Baptist Today, Associated Baptist Press.

Local Missions: United Community Ministries (Men’s and Women’s Shelter, Bassett Center, etc.), Crisis Ministry, Habitat for Humanity, Fountain Correctional Chaplaincy Program, Lakeside Involved, Meals on Wheels, Christian Fellowship Home, My Sister's House, Tar Roanoke Prison Ministry, Tar River Mission Clinic, Ethiopian Family Fund, Local Benevolence, CareNet Counseling East, Youth Workcamp
